The Jago Suite – Ensuite Room

The Jago suite is named after my best friend and fellow scoundrel, the late Lord Jago Eliot. He always enjoyed the best things in life, and I know he would have loved the detail of the room, if not its opulence and simplicity.

The room has the benefit of a large wall mounted television set, which is perfect for lazy mornings or early evenings, a Nespresso machine and complementary tea and coffee. Included with the room are complementary toiletries made in Cornwall from natural products by our friends at Trevarno.

Jago is the only room to feature a bath so if you really want to pamper yourselves or your loved ones, this is the room for you. Luxury bedding, fine Egyptian cotton towels supplied by the white company, a bath tub you can almost swim in and a separate shower and bathroom.

There is limited storage space in this room, please ask if you require additional hanging spaces.

Popes Palace Ensuite Room

Pope’s palace is named after a close friend of mine, Ray, who sadly died several years ago. He would have loved being able to wonder from the pub into a beautiful large space, and collapse into the Egyptian cotton sheets.

Pope’s palace is the largest of the three rooms, and features a beautiful walk in shower, fully tiled bathroom and a Belfast sink – one of the original Belfast sinks from the Rod and Line itself. The wooden floor, laid though-out was removed, by my own fair hand, (with the help of my brother and my now wife), from an old pub in Plymouth, and we hope you will agree it really makes the room. I know Ray would have approved.

The room has the benefit of a large wall mounted television set, which is perfect for lazy mornings or early evenings, a Nespresso machine and complementary tea and coffee. Included with the room are complementary toiletries made in Cornwall from natural products by our friends at Trevarno. In addition Pope also has a sofa bed, making the room perfect if you have children or friends who need a separate bed. There is an additional charge for bedding.

The room is dog friendly.

Bligh (Room)

Bligh is named after the famous Captain Bligh, of the Bounty, in whose house, years later my wife grew up. I think he probably frequented the pub on several occasions during his journey from St Tudy to Plymouth.

The room is on ground level and features a king-sized bed, with a wonderful walk in shower and large tiled bathroom, suitable for use by those with a physical disability. The entire suite is wheelchair friendly and features a disabled alarm call for emergencies. Because this room is wheelchair friendly there is no chair. The room is equipped with underfloor heating, a heated towel rail, a walk in wardrobe, complementary toiletries from Trevarno, a Nespresso coffee machine, and is furnished to the highest specification.

There is parking across the road, but we can arrange for disabled parking right outside the door if booked in advance. The room is accessed via s short, wheelchair friendly, gently inclining slope.

The room is dog friendly.
